I have been a smoker for 46 years. I tried the patch, Commit and other herbal stop smoking programs without success. A friend suggested I try Dr. Garland's program and I was determined this time to quit, so I went ahead and purchased the Smoker's Cure.
The instructions said to pick a day to quit and commit to it. Well, I had already quit two days before the package arrived and the cravings were driving me mad!
I made up the tranquilizer tea immediately to calm my nerves and then brewed up a batch of the tobacco cure tea that I was to sip on every hour. The package also included a bag of herbs that you brew and then soak in a hot bath to detox (I was supposed to do this first on the morning that I wanted to quit) as well as some herbs that you can roll yourself into a cigarette and smoke.
On the third day, I had a bunch of errands in town and forgot to bring along some of the tobacco cure tea - boy was that a rough day! I doubled-up on the tea as soon as I got home and the cravings settled down.
By the end of the first week, the cravings for a cigarette were barely noticeable and within two weeks, I no longer had any cravings at all. For me, this was the most important part in quitting smoking.
