Breakfast of Champions to Fight Thyroid Cancer?

What follows below is an unsolicited report from the front lines in the fight against cancer. It comes from a wonderful person, a very close friend, whose mother just last week was “treated” for a major thyroid cancer.   Read her story describing the procedure and post-op, detailing the madness of the medical profession’s thinking and the lack of even basic nutritional knowledge of how to heal someone.

Read it and weep – I did.

Hi Dr Garland,

My mother, as you know, has been diagnosed with cancer once again. As an 8-year Breast Cancer “Survivor” it was quite a shock to the family when we were told cancer had returned. She opted to go the “Doctor” route and have invasive surgery once again, this time having her Thyroid totally removed.

Out of respect for my mother’s wishes, even though I didn’t agree with her choice, I supported her decision and set out to take care of her in her time of need.

My mother was asked about any products she had been taking prior to the surgery. She was taking Prozac and a well-known cancer drug, which didn’t raise any concerns, but when she mentioned she was taking your Life Transfusion Liquid Mineral Complex and your Miracle of Life formula, the 23 year old doctor’s assistant launched into a long dissertation about the dangers of these potentially toxic (all natural!) products that could cause additional risk to the ultimate outcome of her surgery.

I wanted to jump out of my seat and strangle him.

About 30 minutes after surgery, my mother was encouraged to start waking up and was given an ice pop, which ironically was called a “LifeSaver Popsicle”.  Here are the ingredients:

Water, Sugar, Corn Syrup, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Citric Acid, Malic Acid, Guar Gum, Locust Bean Gum, Ascorbic Acid, Red 40, Yellow 5 & 6 and Blue 1

Does this sound like a LifeSaver to you?

Don’t these highly decorated, Masters of the Universe (aka Doctors) employed by one of the wealthiest Medical Centers in the country know that Cancer thrives on Sugar?! And High Fructose Corn Syrup and Artificial Flavorings and Colorings?  Is this what you prescribe for someone coming out of major cancer surgery?

I was so angry!

The next morning, the hospital was nice enough to provide a going away breakfast:

White Bread Toast with Butter
Waffle with Maple “Flavored” syrup (more High Fructose Corn Syrup/Corn Syrup/Sugar)
Eggs – a protein derived from an animal source
Cranberry Juice Cocktail (more High Fructose Corn Syrup/Corn Syrup/Sugar)
Whole Milk (Calcium fortified) – pasteurized of course and another protein derived from an animal source, which amongst other things causes the body to draw out calcium from the bones in order to re-balance the acidic environment it causes.
Banana
Packets of Sugar, Equal and Sweet-n-Low
Smucker’s Grape Jelly for the toast (more High Fructose Corn Syrup/Corn Syrup/Sugar)

It is time to fly the coop!  Spread the word. We have to stop being victims of this maniacal “healthcare” system.”

Dr. Garland’s Comments:

If this wasn’t so serious, this would be a script from the Mad Magazine TV show.

How can anyone in their right mind pump dangerous, cancer-causing foods full of artificial flavorings, colorings and dyes, milk, white bread and known poisons, into a person recovering from a thyroid cancer operation?

The moral? Don’t get sick in the first place. Avoid doctors and hospitals at all times, make a giant detour and remember the philosopy of “The Body as Doctor” that I preach with all my programs.

And if you do get stuck in a hospital, call or send me an email and I’ll come by with a cooler of healing meals! Or, download the recipes from our website and have a family member make up the meals for you.

God be with you – and with Susan Gordon, Lisa’s mom.
