Are you feeding disease or fighting it?

Think about what you ate yesterday.

There is a 100% chance your food choices contributed to either greater wellness or greater risk of disease.

Our bodies were created to miraculously heal themselves and the plethora of systems work together to keep you at optimal health – so when only one system is off balance, it triggers a domino effect, potentially igniting an avalanche of chronic health problems.

The primary system responsible for your overall health is your digestive system – or “gut” – and all the food you eat and drink have a significant effect on your gut.

IMPORTANT FACT:  The gut is your 30-foot long immunity headquarters.

Everyday we are bombarded with contaminants that disrupt the delicate balance in our gut and digestive system, which in turn significantly affects the immune system.

If you’ve ever taken antibiotics, you know these drugs kill ALL living bacteria – good and bad. Over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications like Advil, aspirin, Motrin, etc. disrupt normal digestion, as do chlorinated water, birth control pills, synthetic hormones, the list goes on and on. All of these, and many more, throw our internal ecosystem out of balance.

Our immune system fights so hard to stay healthy and balanced, that you may not even notice any imbalance for years – but believe me, it will eventually catch up to you.

Do You Have Leaky Gut?

Leaky Gut is the the root cause of over half of all chronic disease. The fact is, millions of Americans suffer from it and are dying from the diseases associated with it – autoimmune disorders, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)/ irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), type 1 diabetes, autism, allergies, asthma, and now, cancer.

The crazy part is, you might have it and have no idea what “it” actually is.

Leaky Gut Syndrome is basically the breaking down of the walls of the intestine, so that undigested food particles, toxic waste and bacteria “leak” through the intestine into the blood stream wreaking havoc on your immune system – and worse – causing disease.

According to Dr. Leo Galland, director of the Foundation for Integrated Medicine, the following 10 symptoms can be signs of leaky gut:

  • Chronic diarrhea, constipation, gas or bloating
  • Nutritional deficiencies
  • Poor immune system
  • Headaches, brain fog, memory loss
  • Excessive fatigue
  • Skin rashes and problems such as acne, eczema or rosacea
  • Cravings for sugar or carbs
  • Arthritis or joint pain
  • Depression, anxiety, ADD, ADHD
  • Autoimmune diseases, such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, celiac disease, Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis, and Crohn’s

This damaging of the intestinal walls is caused by a variety of factors: unhealthy diet, food allergies, taking antibiotics and over-the-counter pain medications, incomplete chewing, inadequate stomach acids and pancreatic enzymes, overeating and stress.

In a study conducted by Thomas Jefferson University, researchers discovered a direct link between leaky gut and the root cause of several types of cancer. In fact, protecting the lining of the gut can potentially protect the entire body.

“If the intestinal barrier breaks down, it becomes a portal for stuff in the outside world to leak into the inside world,” said Dr. Waldman, chair of the Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics at Jefferson and director of the Gastrointestinal Cancer Program at Jefferson’s Kimmel Cancer Center. “When these worlds collide, it can cause many diseases, like inflammation and cancer.”

You might be wondering, “So what can I do?”

The very first thing you can do is improve your diet. The Standard American Diet is woefully overloaded with processed foods and sacrificing fresh fruits and vegetables. The time is now to take a serious look at what you eat and the opportunity to kick-start a lifestyle.

The primary contributors to Leaky Gut are wheat, meat, processed foods, dairy, soy, alcohol, caffeine and processed sugar. Ideally, move toward a vegan diet. If you need help with shifting to a plant strong or vegan diet, don’t hesitate to call our Plant Strong Nutritional Support Team and they can walk you step by step through the process.

I highly suggest you start taking our Pro-Biotic Max Formula which contains a high quality spectrum of 25 Billion live probiotics or “friendly bacteria” per capsule to support gastrointestinal health, promoting the absorption of nutrients in the stomach and intestines, as well as improve elimination of toxic compounds.

Did you know antibiotics kill good bacteria? Pro-Biotic Max will help to replenish the friendly bacteria in your digestive system to help heal Leaky Gut Syndrome and boost your immune system.

What else can you do?

  • Avoid excess grains, lectins, gut allergens, and fermented/yeast growing foods that can cause inflammation in your gut. You might not be allergic, but you may have an intolerance.  Try an elimination diet and reintroduce these triggers to see how you feel – or rotate foods so you aren’t eating the exact things all the time, which can create an allergy. Take charge of 100% of what goes into your body.
  • Add digestive enzymes to your food to help with gut health and better digestion and absorption of food.  Add our Transform-Zymes to every meal for a month and you won’t believe how much better you feel!
  • Eliminate all processed foods. These are probably the very worst things you can put in your body.  Think of it like this – If it wasn’t around 100 years ago or comes in a package, don’t eat it.
  • Eat way more vegetables and healthy fats. Of course, more vegetables is a no-brainer! But, healthy fats can be tricky.  Try our Omega 3/6/9 Formula, and also include healthy fats in your diet, like avocado and Coconut Oil.
  • Last, but by far the least, lower stress! This might be another no-brainer, but stress kills and no one else will lower your stress for you – take charge of your life and make a commitment to do something for yourself every single day – even if it’s just deep breathing.  It can save your life!

Where Does the Flu Start? Wrong!

Whatever your first response was to this question, it was probably wrong.  The flu and most other viruses do not start in the respiratory system.

And, if you haven’t heard, THE FLU SHOT WON’T PREVENT YOU FROM GETTING IT EITHER!  Just more lies from the pharmaceutical corporations to scare you into buying their toxin.

If you answered the question , “The flu starts in the gut,” you’d be absolutely right!  The ‘gut’ is the center of our immunity universe.

Our bodies were created to miraculously heal themselves.  The body’s plethora of systems work closely together to keep you at optimal health.

When only one system is off balance, it triggers a domino effect, potentially igniting an avalanche of chronic health problems.

The primary system responsible for your overall health and well-being is your digestive system – or “gut”.

The gut depends on “good bacteria” and specialized immune cells, called T-cells to do an effective job.

And the most important thing to know is this:  The gut is  your 30-foot long immunity headquarters! AND, it holds the largest concentration of mood-altering neurotransmitters, like serotonin, in your entire body!

Researchers are FINALLY discovering what I’ve been telling you for years – Microflora, or friendly bacteria, affect a huge part of our lives.  Last year, the National Institutes of Health released a study linking depression to “leaky gut” – or unhealthy intestinal microflora.

And, did you know that when your “good” bacteria is out of balance, it can result in malnourishment, and can lead to acid reflux, indigestion, irritable bowel disease, the nervous system, hormonal health, your immunity, energy, mood and your behavior?  That is just mind-blowing!

Take a moment, if you haven’t already, and read the newsletter, Laugh at the Flu, which talked about 12 things you simply must do to prepare your body for what’s ahead.

This week only, we are offering our two ‘gut’ health superfoods at the lowest price of the season so far!

NOW is the time to boost your immune system and prepare your body – especially your tender ‘gut’ for the holiday and flu season.

Immune Health and Probiotics

We are all ecosystems.  Our ecosystems are in danger from all the medications, pesticides and environmental pollution ingested, slathered on and inhaled.

The body houses this unique, balanced ecosystem, beginning with the stomach, then the large and small intestine, in charge of distributing nutrients to nourish the organs. Residing in this ecosystem is more than 400 species of bacteria.

Bacterium isn’t always bad and is made up of 3 main types of friendly bacteria:

  • Lactobacillus acidophilus
  • Bifido-bacterium bifidum
  • Lactobacillus bulgaricus

Acidophilus works in the small intestine. Bifidus predominates in the large intestine and bulgaricus is a transient bacterium that passes through the entire intestinal tract.

Transform your life with ENZYMES!

Researchers estimate that up to 30% of Americans suffer from an affliction known as Leaky Gut Syndrome (just the phrase causes my stomach to turn a little), and as much as 90% of all chronic symptoms and chronic conditions are linked to it.

Leaky Gut almost always goes undiagnosed. Ailments like arthritis, diabetes, asthma, chronic fatigue, inability to lose weight are all related in part with poor or declining gut health.

Could this be happening inside of you without you even knowing about it?

There is simple remedy for Leaky Gut and the myriad of ailments it causes. Read on for the closest thing we’ve found to the discovery of the Fountain of Youth, that could just possibly heal your entire digestive tract!

Enzymes are the Building Blocks of Life

Enzymes are the building blocks of life itself. They help us to see, hear, feel, move, digest, think and heal. Enzymes assist the body in breaking down food, providing the body with life-giving fuel.

Secreted by the pancreas, production of these vital enzymes decline as we age, diminishing the ability of our digestive tract to break down and extract nutrients from the food we eat.

Traditional Chinese Medicine teaches that lack of stomach chi (energy), leads to increased disease, fatigue and aging. Without enzymes, a person’s stomach chi becomes dangerously low.

As you might suspect, processed foods are devoid of life-giving enzymes. This is one of the reasons why I rail against the Standard American Diet of fast-food and sugary sodas! Adding enzymes to your diet every day allows you to nourish your digestive system and avoid chronic conditions associated with leaky gut.

Dr. Edward Howell pioneered the use of plant-based enzymes to prevent disease, teaching science that all disease (including the dreaded Leaky Gut Syndrome) is nothing more than the lack or imbalance of enzymes.
