• DIM is not a phytoestrogen and doesn’t mimic the action of any estrogen or phytoestrogen and has NO inherent estrogenic activity. DIM balances the bodies natural response to estrogen, adjusting the activity of metabolic enzymes and specialized estrogen receptor molecules. DIM’s ability to promote healthy metabolic pathways for estrogen, limits cell division and growth through influence on the cell cycle, determining growth and replication.
• DIM chokes off the blood supply from tumors, cutting off its lifeline! Cancers create their blood supply by angiogenesis. Researchers have shown that DIM is able to stop tumors from completing angiogenesis and creating their own blood supplies.
• Oxygen levels in tumor cells increased with DIM. Oxygen is the mortal enemy of cancer, and cancer cells ONLY thrive in cells sufficating from lack of oxygen. A study in the May, 2008 Biochemical Pharmacology Journal, was first to show DIM words by decreasing the accumulation and activity of the key angiogenesis factor, HIF-1alpha, in hypoxic tumor cells.
• DIM makes cancer cells commit suicide! In a 2008 study reported in the Pharmaceutical Research Journal, scientists found low doses of DIM caused production of a protein, prostate apoptosis response-4 or PAR-4, induced cell death in prostate cancer cells by reducing cell viability and caused cell growth inhibition and death.
• DIM is effective against HER-2 cancers. One study, reported in the February, 2008 Journal of Molecular Cancer Therapeutics, using in vitro experiments with breast cancer cell lines, researchers found that DIM blocks growth of all four breast cancer cell lines. DIM induced expression of the tumor suppressor p27 genes before the loss of cell viability and apoptosis, and induced transcript expression within six hours. Researchers in this study concluded the effects of DIM were independent of HER-2 or estrogen receptor status.
• DIM is a powerful anti-inflammatory. As I have said for years, recurrent and chronic inflammation is a precursor to several cancers. So, researchers studied DIM’s anti-inflammatory possibilities using microphages, in light of DIM’s ability to provide cancer-proofing – the results? DIM was found to significantly decrease the release of nitric oxide, estradiol, tumor necrosis factor alpha, interleukin-6, and interleukin-1beta. The conclusion? DIM inhibits the release of pro-inflammatory mediators in macrophages.

Hi, my name is Suzanne Pierce.

The 25 Steps to Cancer-Proof Your Body

1. Eliminate all dairy. No more milk, cheese, ice cream or butter. Dairy products contain a dangerous hormone that triggers and fuels cancer. Switch to soy, nut or rice milks instead. Or try Hemp milk – it’s delicious!

3. Eat as much raw food as possible and drink fresh raw vegetable juices. Go to local bookstore or online at Amazon.com and look up “Raw Foods” and eat what the books say.

13. Eat as many oranges, lemons and limes as you can. Juice them. The vitamin C content is one of the best antioxidants (anti-cancer) elements in the universe.

14. Find a clinic that will do an IV infusion of liquid Vitamin C if you have cancer. This has shown great promise.

15. Eat foods high in Zinc, like oysters, crab, herring, turkey, poppy seeds, caraway seeds, brewer’s yeast, mushrooms, wheat germ and pumpkin seeds. Zinc is the mineral that makes vital T-cells in the Thymus gland.

The Ecosystem Within YOU

Bet you didn’t know you had a whole ecosystem living within you, did you?

You’ve read about the environmental ecosystem in danger from all the pollutants in this world, but not about the ecosystem within your own body!

You may not know YOU ARE AN ECOSYSTEM and your ecosystem is in as much danger as our world’s ecosystem, from all the medications, pesticides and environmental pollution ingested, slathered on and inhaled.

Your body houses this unique, balanced ecosystem, beginning with the stomach, then miles of large and small intestine in charge of distributing the nutrients to nourish your organs. Residing in this ecosystem is more than 400 species of bacteria.

Bacterium isn’t always bad! In fact, these bacterial colonies function in harmony with one another and if either is out of balance, your system is going to go awry at some point in time.

Your ecosystem is made up of three main types of friendly bacterium:

• Lactobacillus acidophilus
• Bifido-bacterium bifidum
• Lactobacillus bulgaricus

Acidophilus works in the small intestine. Bifidus predominates in the large intestine and bulgaricus is a transient bacterium that passes through the entire intestinal tract.

These bacteria exist outside the body as well, but not in the ordinary places you would expect. These bacterium are vital to your health! If you to ingest an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory (Advil, aspirin, Motrin, Aleve, etc.) drink or bathe in chlorinated water, you kill both friendly and unfriendly bacteria, as well as cause mutated, harmful bacteria.

You have set up an unbalanced ecosystem.

One of many problems caused by taking antibiotics are yeast infections. No fun! and can be dangerous if left to run amok in the body. Another problem is chronic diarrhea.

In addition to antibiotics, you are being bombarded with food additives, chlorinated water and medications upsetting to the balance of your ecosystem flora.

Hormonal drugs, such as birth control pills and cortisone are especially detrimental to the body’s ecosystem. Your body’s immune system is so strong and fights so hard to stay healthy, you may not even notice the imbalance for years, but it will catch up to you eventually.

One way of balancing out your body’s ecosystem is with Probiotics. Probiotics improve liver and circulatory functions, improve resistance to allergies and decrease the presence of yeast infections.
