Miracle of Life: the 2nd Coming

August 31st, 2010

It’s Back! (and even better…)

Miracle of Life is the crystallization of all my work in preventing disease these past 24 years.

The idea for it came from a period of deep contemplation and Eastern meditation using principles and techniques I learned while in the high mountain village of Shimla in northern India and at the Drum Mountain Monastery outside of Shanghai, China.

The formula literally jumped out of my head and  “wrote itself” down on my notepad.

Miracle of Life incorporates electronically-charged Ionic Minerals and Trace Minerals in the same composition found in blood plasma. These are the foundation for all true health and longevity and they dramatically increase the cellular absorption of the natural compounds in the formula.

  • Anti-Aging/Longevity with Ashwagandha, Holy Basil, Resveratrol, American Ginseng and Eleuthero
  • Memory & Concentration compounds like Ginkgo Biloba, Acetyl-L-Carnitine and Subultiamine
  • Infusion of RNA/DNA and cellular detoxification with Chlorella
  • All-day energy (not false, hyped-up energy) from B-vitamins, Kokkorokou and Kelp
  • Plus Vitamin D, Calcium, Magnesium & Potassium for the cardiovascular system, strong bones and overall health and vitality
  • And much, more from Mother Nature’s cupboard

We all want to live a longer and healthier life and fend off feeling older for as long as possible. That’s why Miracle of Life was created. May you enjoy it as much as we did creating it.

Macular Degeneration – or Macular Re-Generation?

August 6th, 2010

Ninety (90%) percent of what we learn in our lifetime comes from what we see through our eyes.

Losing one’s eyesight is a frightening possibility for over 60% of the population. With more and more “baby boomers” moving into the retirement stage of life, this problem is alarming in its proportions and its implications.

If a friend or a loved one has Macular Degeneration or is at risk of losing their eyesight, please share today’s article and video with them.

There is hope for this tragic disease.

Nearly 18 Million Will Have Macular Degeneration by 2050

A photo of an eye exam with an older womanIn a study funded by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, researchers report that as many as 9.1 million people will have age-related macular degeneration (AMD) in 2010, and nearly double this number at 17.8 million people, will have the potentially blinding eye disease by 2050.

“What we found is that due to aging, the number of cases of early and advanced AMD will increase dramatically no matter what,” said study author David Rein, PhD, senior research economist from RTI International in Research Triangle Park, N.C. “In 2050, we project there will be 1.57 million cases of blindness [caused by AMD] with no treatment. But, with vigorous treatment, that number’s just about 1 million.”

Age-related macular degeneration is a serious eye disease that causes the breakdown of the macula, which is located in the retina. The macula gives you clear central vision, which is essential for reading and driving, even for just seeing people’s faces. AMD is a leading cause of vision loss in people over 65, according to the American Academy of Ophthalmologists (AAO). If you’d like to read the study, click here for the April issue of the Archives of Ophthalmology.

Nutritional therapy can benefit sufferers of Macular Degeneration

Macular Degeneration is caused by “exploding cells” within the retina. Cells that are literally falling apart from free radical damage. Drugs can’t fight this cellular breakdown, but Superfoods and Antioxidants can!

This science of fighting free radicals is something we specialize in, as it is the core of all our cancer protocols, because cellular breakdown is the initial cause of all forms of cancer.

An image of Dr. Wayne Garland's Vision Support nutritional supplementIn a major study at Johns Hopkins University of nearly 5,000 adults between the ages of 55 to 89 who were diagnosed with age-related macular degeneration, those given a daily supplement of Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Beta-Carotene, Zinc and Copper saw a reduction of 23% in the incidence of AMD.

The lead researchers stated that if people would take these simple antioxidants and minerals, it could prevent vision loss in 300,000 people over the next five years.

So what we did is take this knowledge and then take all the free-radical fighting Superfood Antioxidant compounds we knew of that were specifically targeted to the eyes, and put them into a special Macular Degeneration Formula called appropriately enough Vision Support.

“This stuff is dynamite!” – Amy Wolfe

August 5th, 2010
An image of Age-Less Rx anti-inflammatory nutritional supplement bottle
Retail: $38.95
Preferred: $26.97

Last month we introduced an extraordinary new formula called Age-Less Rx, that we think has the capability to “turn back the hands of time,” by lowering inflammation at the cellular level.

Our news report Inflammation: The Secret Killer, shares an in-depth analysis about chronic inflammation and how it may be the engine that drives many of the most feared illnesses of middle and old age. If you missed the article, I urge you click on the link above and take a few minutes right now to read it.

In last Friday’s newsletter, “Dr. Adaptogenics will see you now” we introduced you to the lead ingredient in Age-Less Rx, Holy Basil, revered throughout India, the East and Ayurvedic medicine for its extensive adaptogenic powers.

We are so excited about what this formula can do, that when Amy’s email came in, we just had to share it with everyone!

Dear Dr. Garland,

I’ve been taking your new Age-Less formula for 3 weeks now and it is dynamite! The Miracle of Life formula is out of stock and Age-Less has picked up right where Miracle has left off — well almost anyway.

A photo of Amy WolfeFirst off, I’m an active person and all of your products work extremely well, however, Age-Less has given me an unbelievable recovery from workouts. I enjoy running the soccer fields and then lifting weights. I’m bench pressing 10 more pounds than last week and am not sore at all – I expected to be a little sore the next day, but that is not the case. I’m running faster and once again, expecting to feel discomfort and it’s not there.

Age-Less not only helps to preserve your body from the inside out, but another fantastic benefit I’ve experienced is more energy for sex. I’m motivated, it’s on my mind, and makes me happy.

I love this product! I can’t wait until Miracle of Life is back in stock – these two products together will be amazing.

Dr. Garland you are brilliant! Keep on amazing us… you do it well!

Try it for yourself, as Amy says so well, “this stuff is dynamite in a bottle!”

“Dr. Adaptogenics will see you now”

August 2nd, 2010

Probably the most crucial moment in my strange long journey to beat cancer, was the moment I walked into the high mountain village of “Shimla” in northern India over 24 years ago.

The venerable old professor at the Hahhneman University in Bombay (now called “Mumbai”) had pressed a letter into my hand that would introduce me to a little-known healing center and place of Hindu religion that he felt would benefit me in my fight.

All he would say was, “we’ve done all we can for you, now you need go meet the Holy Basil.”

When you’re fighting cancer, if someone suggests dancing with dolphins, you do it, since as we all know life can turn on a dime. So off I trudged by rickety train and bumpy bus for eight days and nights to Shimla, where part of me still resides, high up in the Himalayas and as close to God as you can get I think, in a physical sense.

Maybe it was the altitude, but my head was spinning and struggling to cope with the amazing surroundings. The address on the notepaper got me to a pale blue temple up a side street with a yellow painting of a diety on the outside.

This diety I learned was Lord Vishnu, the Preserver or Sustainer of life in Hindu religion, the Supreme Lord. For thousands of years, he has been revered and prayed to as the source of all Peace and Truth. No wonder I was sent there!

I met the Holy Basil my first day at the temple, but I didn’t know it.

In the days, weeks and then months that I lived there, every split second helped me heal and in every possible way; mentally, spiritually and also physically. I consumed mysterious herbs, teas and tinctures that are an integral part of Lord Vishnu’s philosophy. It was like I entered a very special “Healing Zone” where other-worldly powers took over and enveloped my every second.

What the disciples taught me so well was the power of “adaptogenics” in coping with the maelstrom of life around us. And how to arrive at a state of calm in the midst of a storm, whether mentally, spiritually or physically.

This was done through what we ate, what we thought and what we prayed. It was done through meditation, to arrive at place and a state of calm and reflection that washed away the stress and the noise and clamor of daily life.

Everyday at the temple we consumed countless cups and bowls of special teas and soups and curries that contained the supreme herbs in all of Ayurvedic medicine, practiced in India and Asia since time immemorial.

And then it hit me. I kept waiting and wondering when I was going to meet this amazing doctor, the Holy Basil, that would help me in the final step of my healing and recovery.

It turns out the old professor wanted me to meet a plant!

Forget Cholesterol – Think Heart “Inflammation”

July 13th, 2010

If you listen to all the Lipitor drug ads, fighting cholesterol is all it takes to fight heart disease. “NOT SO” say the most learned minds on the subject.

According to all of the latest research, the real danger it turns out is inflammation in the form of two frightening compounds found in the blood of heart attack victims:

  • Homocysteine
  • C-Reactive Protein

And you don’t get these compounds from certain foods – your body makes them in response to other substances.

Why don’t doctors know about all this? If they do, why aren’t they telling us?

And you don’t need a drug to control Homocysteine and C-Reactive Protein. Read how in today’s article – and save your heart and your life.

Checking your Cholesterol is so Last Century

For much of the 20th century, doctors and patients tracked the ups and downs of cholesterol levels to determine the risk of having a heart attack. But the evidence supporting the link between high cholesterol and heart disease has been, from the start, pretty flimsy. Certainly, people with extremely high cholesterol levels or familial hypercholesterolemia (an inherited condition) do have a higher risk of heart disease. But elevated cholesterol levels appear to be more of a symptom than a cause – a sign that something, somewhere is awry.

In the late 1990s, researchers at the Harvard Medical School were on the trail of a new, and more likely, factor in coronary artery disease (CAD). Paul Ridker, MD, and his colleagues suspected that “inflammation” was a key player in heart disease. They developed a test for “high sensitivity C-reactive protein” (CRP) that was able to detect chronic low-grade inflammation, something missed by all other medical tests.

Lipitor-Statin Drug Madness

In the 1990s, to hoodwink the public at large, drug companies introduced cholesterol-lowering statin drugs, such as Lipitor, practically cementing the largely unsubstantiated link between cholesterol and heart disease. That began a high-pressure sell to get both consumers and physicians interested in using statins to lower cholesterol levels, and Lipitor alone now accounts for $13 billion in yearly sales.

But nearly everyone seems to ignore a key fact: half of people with heart disease have normal cholesterol levels. So there must be other big risk factors, but what are they? C-Reactive Protein and its kissing cousin, Homocysteine.
